We Stand in Solidarity with Port-au-Prince

Children are the primary victims of this unprecedented crisis.

In response to the ongoing violence and widespread displacement, LFBS echoes the call of our partners UNICEF and IBESR for immediate action to protect children in Haiti.

Over 700,000 people have been forced to flee armed violence and rising insecurity in Port-au-Prince. Access to essential resources has become scarce, and humanitarian aid is struggling to reach those most in need. Gender-based violence has surged, and children are facing immense challenges, including a lack of access to education and health care, with many separated from their families and in urgent need of protection. It is critical that children are reunified with their families, where they can receive the care, safety, and support they deserve.

LFBS is in solidarity with all those who have been displaced and affected by the ongoing crisis, and amplifies the call for the international community to mobilize a holistic humanitarian response to protect children and their families.

Together, we must take action and work towards an effective and sustainable protection system.
